Overview

Natsuiro Matsuri (夏色まつり) born July 22 is a VTuber under Hololive 1st Generation. She is a freshman and is a member of the cheerleading club. She likes fun things such as festivals and events. Her name "Matsuri" translates to "festival", thus the lively and cheerful theme around her.

Personality

Matsuri has a very lively, energetic, and chaotic personality. She is also very outgoing, having lots of VTuber friends outside of Hololive. While she refers to herself as "seiso" (wholesome/pure), some of her actions suggest otherwise, like groping Hoshimachi Suisei's chest when they met each other for the first time for an off-collab, revealing on stream that she likes Comic LO, and telling Nijisanji's Hoshikawa Sara that she wants to drink her pee.

However, underneath her outrageous actions and energetic personality, Matsuri is actually a very sensitive and kind-hearted girl. This can be observed on her Twitcast streams (audio-only streams), usually before sleeping or while she's in the bath. These streams are usually candid where she simply talks to her viewers about her inner thoughts. She also once called Inuyama Tamaki, an independent VTuber, off-stream at night to talk about her worries as both an individual and an idol. The call ended up until morning.[1]

Nonstop Story

On January 24, 2020, Hololive 1st fest Nonstop Story was held in Toyosu Pit in Tokyo. All Hololive members up to the 3rd Generation participated on the concert.

Matsuri was the first one to sing after the opening (Shiny Smiley Story). The song that she picked was ファンサ (Fansa) by HoneyWorks.

Ebifrion

Ebifrion is Matsuri's mascot that can be seen in her pajama costume. Ebifrion is part fried-shirmp (ebi-fry), part lion, thus the name. Ebifrion speaks using a kansai dialect and with the voice of an old man.

History

  • Matsuri debuted on the same day as Akai Haato, Shirakami Fubuki, and Aki Rosenthal on June 1, 2018.[2]
  • On November 1, 2018, Matsuri debuted her second 2D Costume.[3]
  • On April 14, 2019, Matsuri debuted her 3D model.[4]
  • On August 6, 2019, Matsuri debuted her 3D swimsuit model.[5]
  • On January 1, 2020, Matsuri debuted her New Year Costume.[6]
  • On January 24, 2020, together with all Hololive members (except the 4th Generation), Matsuri participated in hololive 1st fest Nonstop Story and debuted their 3D idol costume.
