Introduction Video[edit]

Official Bio[edit]

A girl who came from another world in order to become an idol.
She loves singing and dancing, and drawing.
She is training hard every day to become someone loved by many.

Meet the “Love Warrior” Nenechi, a girl who possesses a quiet fire in her heart! She hails from Planet Tao Tao, and has come to earth to pursue her idol dream! Let’s support her immensely!

Her character backstory shares a lot of similarities with the character Kagura from Gintama, including the “aru” verbal tic. Her design borrows heavily from chinese-style dresses, and her character emote 🥟 :dumpling: is taken from her favorite food, gyoza.

Some months after her debut, she stopped adding “aru” at the end of her sentences. When fans asked why she doesn’t use “aru” anymore, she mentions that she’s been pronouncing them so fast it’s become inaudible to her viewer's ears.

Nene has a bubbly, friendly personality, and is very close with her fellow Gen 5 members. She often displays a cute smugness when she wins games, and pouts cutely whenever she loses. She playfully flirts with the other hololive members, with some examples including Lamy and Ina.

True to her idol dream, Nene has displayed her great singing ability during her karaoke streams and mini lives. She has mentioned that she knows how to dance (2-3 years experience), so fans can look forward to seeing her dance during her eventual 3d debut.

She likes playing casual games like LITTLE FRIENDS, PART TIME UFO, Good Job!, Rhythm Heaven Fever, and Minecraft. She also does singing practice streams, and sometimes does ASMR for her members-only streams.

Oftentimes, she streams during lunchtime to chat with her fans, and has a Super Chat thanking segment afterwards. Some fans ask Nene through Super Chat, "Will you be my waifu?", with Nene responding to them, "Yes! Welcome to Nene's husbands collection!" Female fans have also expressed interest, with Nene responding that wives are also welcome as part of her collection.

She sometimes says a few basic lines in English and Spanish when interacting with her audience, leading to an increased number of foreign fans on her livestreams; fans have dubbed her the nickname “Worldwide Nenechi” whenever this occurs. Nene also seems to get new nicknames every time she streams; with some examples including supernenechi, hypernenechi, ultranenechi, NENEMAX, and most importantly, Super Hyper Ultra Ultimate Deluxe Perfect Amazing Shining God 東方不敗 Master Ginga Victory Strong Cute Beautiful Galaxy Baby 無限 無敵 無双 NENECHI (!)

Other Media[edit]

  • Nene voices the supporting character Kelly in the anime The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated Into Another World as an Aristocrat.[28]. However, Nene's performance and credit as Kelly were cut entirely from the Mainland Chinese version of the anime.[29][30]

  • In Lamy's debut stream, she accidentally wrote Nene's name as Suzumomo instead of Momosuzu.
  • An active girl with many talents, she's tried out many activities like piano (10 years), kyuudou (archery), baseball, tennis, programming (Java), and drawing. She holds various certificates for different things because she thought it would be cool to have them e.g. typing, programming, and marketing certificates.
  • A very persistent girl who goes after what she wants -- Nene kept applying for a total of four times during the Gen 5 application period and finally managed to get a reply from hololive!
  • Nene has a huge love for amusement parks! Recently, she invited the other Gen 5 members to go to the DisneySea theme park.
  • She's done drawings of the hololive members multiple times, like doing illustrations for Botan's birthday and Choco-sensei's 2nd anniversary, and even a drawing of YAGOO. She even drew the blueprints for Gen 5’s building in Minecraft.
  • In Minecraft, she decorated her floor from the inside with glowstone blocks, forming the words IM NENE; however, when the building is viewed from the outside, the words spell as ENENMI. Onlookers can't help but laugh at her innocent mistake, and even Botan says that it reminds her of EMINEM.
  • Nene tries not to forget Aloe by keeping her image in her Twitter banner; she even sings Happy Synthesizer, a song sung by Aloe on her debut. During halloween, Nene makes lanterns for all five members of hololive Generation 5, and leaves a lantern pumpkin for Aloe in her own room.
  • Nene mentions to Kiara, thinking about iCarly and Victorious as being adult-oriented romantic movies. Hilarity ensues afterwards.
  • During the pizza party offline collaboration, Nene describes her ideal male as someone taller than her, and has big shoes.
  • Had a Leeroy Jenkins moment when she ran headfirst into the boss room during her Craftopia collab with Gen 5.
  • She's a hydrohomie, always drinking water in regular intervals to keep herself hydrated. She keeps an image of a water gallon beside her during her livestreams.
  • There’s a fan theory that Nene’s character is also based off of Sakura Nene from New Game!, with the similarities being the childish, klutzy personality, blonde hair, and both having a programming background.
  • Nene and Polka’s matanene bye bye animated by 2manysnacks.
  • Nene was featured as one of the "55+1 Next Generation Beautiful Girls" (次世代美少女55+1) in Shueisha's "Weekly Playboy" magazine, on October 4, 2021's issue.[31]
  • Is one of the Hololive Production VTubers with a verified YouTube channel. Other verified members can be found here.
  • Is one of the moderators in the official Hololive Subreddit. Other members can be seen here.
  • Shares the same Illustrator with the following VTubers (including Nishizawa 5mm herself):
  • She's part of unit named NEGI☆U together with Minato Aqua and Oozora Subaru.

No speculations and rumors, just fun facts!
