Introduction Video

Overview

Nakiri Ayame (百鬼あやめ) born December 13th, is an oni. She is a member of the Hololive 2nd Generation. She debuted on September 3rd, 2018, while her Twitter account and her Youtube Channel was created on August 1, 2018 and August 12, 2018, respectively. Her 3D model debut was on April 17, 2019 [1] and her second outfit was announced on Twitter[2] and was revealed in Youtube on November 23, 2019.[3]

As of May 21, 2020, she has 237000 subscribers on Youtube and 345000 subscribers on her Bilibili channel.

She's known for her soothing voice and infectious giggles and laughs during her stream. She's also notoriously bad at waking up, as she's always the last to wake up in multiple morning wake-up streams. [4] [5] [6] She streams a variety of games on her channel, like Minecraft--where she is possibly the best builder in Hololive--or FPS games such as PUBG or Apex Legends (where she ended Season 4 at Diamond 4) [7]

Her greeting is "Konnakiri", a portmanteau of "Konnichiwa ("Hello") and "Nakiri", and her farewell is "Otsunakiri", a combination of "Otsukare" ("Good work") and "Nakiri". Her viewers call Ayame "Ojou" (お嬢). It roughly translates to "Young Lady".

Personality

She has a calm and easy-going demeanor. Most of the time, in streams, she prefers to just talk about different topics and often gets sidetracked from one topic to the other, then going back to the original topic 20 minutes later. While playing games, she gets very competitive, and on some moments, becomes totally silent as she tries to focus ingame. Even on a loss, however, she takes it in stride and laughs about it.

Other Media

Nakiri Ayame, along with fellow members Natsuiro Matsuri, Shirakami Fubuki, Ookami Mio, Murasaki Shion, Tokino Sora and Minato Aqua, were part of a collab with Azur Lane called “Looking Glass of Fact and Fiction”, which ran from November 26th 2019 – December 11th, 2019.

Trivia

Poyoyo, Ayame's mascot
  • She shares the same Illustrator with Spade Echo of Hololive China.
  • Her mascot, Poyoyo, was made by Fubuki. It's a white, ball-like creature that possesses the same horns that Ayame has. This creature was made by Fubuki.[8]
  • The two swords on her back have names. The red sword is called "Ashura", while the black sword is called "Rasetsu".
  • The ghost dogs seen on her image floating around have names and are called "Karma" and "Shiranui".
  • In a stream, she has revealed that she now owns a cat. She has named him "Ziru", from the word "Zircon". [9]
