Trivia[edit]

  • Mori's name (and the EP title) are taken from the Latin *Mori*, meaning mortality. The Latin word is most often heard in the context of *memento mori,* or "remember your mortality," a reminder about the impermanence of life and the inevitability of death.
  • (April 4, or "4/4," is the fictitious birthday of Mori Calliope's grim reaper persona, as in Japanese, "4" is sometimes pronounced "Shi," which means death. While some consider the number "4" to be unlucky due to this association, Calliope, being a grim reaper, runs in the opposite direction and whole-heartedly embraces the association with death.)
  • Calliope Mori is fond of ending her live streams by saying, "I'm your Mori, I hope you'll remember me," evoking the phrase *memento mori*. In this sign-off (and in the title of this EP), Mori encourages the listener not just to remember "your *Mori*" (mortality) and the inevitability of death (which is very on-brand for her grim reaper persona), but also to remember "Your Mori," the live streaming grim reaper.
