Holobirds, called Holotori (ホロ鳥) in Japanese, is an inter-branch subunit within Hololive. The subunit consists of all Hololive talents who are canonically birds (with the exception of Oozora Subaru). The name "Holobirds" (ホロ鳥, Holotori) is a portmanteau of "Hololive" (ホロライブ), and "bird" (鳥, tori).
History
Holobirds originally formed as a trio consisting of Oozora Subaru, Takanashi Kiara, and Pavolia Reine, who are canonically a tomboy, a phoenix, and a peafowl respectively. The this original trio is also nicknamed Turducken.
Oozora Subaru
Although Subaru was not a bird according to her official canon, Subaru was jokingly called a "duck" by fans owing to her voice's timbre and has since fully embraced this duck aspect into her persona, leading to her full inclusion as a bird.
Takanashi Kiara
Although Kiara is canonically a phoenix, Kiara is also jokingly referred to as a "chicken", a reference to her being the owner of KFP, a chicken fast-food restaurant chain.
Pavolia Reine
