Lyrics[edit]

[Intro]
Every day, Every heart
Ri-La-Ru-Ra
Don’t you hear the Ringing?
Ri-La-Ru-Ra-Ra-Ra

[Chorus]

[Verse 2]
The time flows cruelly
unchanging inhumanity
We've reached the point of no return
Don't know how, how we should do.

[Pre-Chorus]

[Chorus]

[Post-Chorus]

Life and death at every tick.
Humanity clings to the past and nostalgia
Will they ever escape from the chains of time?
Only the clock will tell.

[Chorus]

[Outro]
Every day, Every heart
Ri-La-Ru-Ra
Don’t you hear the Ringing?
Ri-La-Ru-Ra-Ra-Ra

mata wa sore sae mo unmei

[Post-Chorus]
subete wa utsurou mujouna mujou
surudoku kiba o muki
yasashiku mushibamu kokukoku to kakujitsu ni

Life and death at every tick.
Humanity clings to the past and nostalgia
Will they ever escape from the chains of time?
Only the clock will tell.

[Chorus]

[Outro]
Every day, Every heart
Ri-La-Ru-Ra
Don’t you hear the Ringing?
Ri-La-Ru-Ra-Ra-Ra

[Intro]
Every day, Every heart
Ri-La-Ru-Ra
Don’t you hear the Ringing?
Ri-La-Ru-Ra-Ra-Ra

In this neverending dream Ri-La-Ru-Ra
The moon throbbing Ri-La-Ru-Ra

[Verse 1]
No matter how much I cry and scream
My hands only find nothingness
The world withers away
No one remains at the end of time

[Chorus]
The rondo of this slowly collapsing reality
Sweetly drew me in, and I closed my eyes
I want to see you once again
On the day it falls into oblivion

[Verse 2]
The time flows cruelly
unchanging inhumanity
We've reached the point of no return
Don't know how, how we should do.

It falls alike on all who are
A tranquility which seems almost cruel

[Pre-Chorus]
Accept it, accept it
The ticking of the hands, as they march to the end
Yes, I seek it, I seek it
The memory of the days when things were

[Chorus]
The tyranny of constant change never ceases its assault
There is no way to resist the inevitable
The only salvation that will eventually come is emptiness
And even that is... destined

[Post-Chorus]
Everything fades away, transience is intransigent
Baring its sharp fangs
Gently gnawing, moment by moment, slowly but surely

Life and death at every tick.
Humanity clings to the past and nostalgia
Will they ever escape from the chains of time?
Only the clock will tell.

[Chorus]
The rondo of this slowly collapsing reality
Sweetly drew me in, and I closed my eyes
The tyranny of constant change never ceases its assault
There is no way to resist the inevitable, and that is déjà vu
On the day it falls into oblivion

[Outro]
Every day, Every heart
Ri-La-Ru-Ra
Don’t you hear the Ringing?
Ri-La-Ru-Ra-Ra-Ra

【Original Song MV】Daydream - Ouro Kronii

Trivia[edit]

  • Kronii tried to upload the music video earlier, but her PC broke.[1]
  • Kronii provided the initial ideas for the lyrics and atmosphere of Daydream which were then developed into the final song and MV.[2]
    • The backing track for Daydream was chosen from a number of tracks.[1]
    • Kronii specifically asked for the clock ticks and monologue in Daydream.[3]
  • The light pillar/streaking design in the MV (i.e. the lines at 0:07) represents the different timelines managed by Kronii[4]
    • LUMINA was inspired by watching the television series Loki, which involves the titular character, the Norse god Loki, being prosecuted for crimes against the timeline.[4]
  • The glowing text written in cursive in the MV represents LUMINA's interpretation of the Hololive English lore.[4]
    • The text is illegible, even to Kronii[4]
  • LUMINA spent 60 hours total on the MV, including rendering the project at 4K resolution.[4]
    • LUMINA designed every scene to be usable as a desktop wallpaper.[4]
  • LUMINA planned to incorporate Kronii's loading and outro screens, but the files were corrupted which prevented her from doing so.[4]
  • Daydream was originally titled Nightmare, however Kronii's manager thought the song sounded more like a daydream so Kronii agreed to change the song title. Kronii thinks the song is "too mystical" to be titled Nightmare.[4]
