:Romaji is intended to give people who cannot read Japanese characters an "imperfect" way to pronounce Japanese. I say "imperfect" because in order to read Romaji correctly, one needs to be familiar with Japanese phonology. However, those who are familiar with Japanese phonology are most likely able to read kana as well. What's left seems like a very, very small niche.

:For the examples above, they all already have official "English" names, so no English speaker is left wondering how to pronounceread their names. Furthermore, sometimes the Japanese transliteration of their names is off by significant amount. For example, Hakos Baelz is transliterated as ハコス・ベールズ (''Hakosu Bēruzu''), but her name should be pronounced /bɛlz 'heɪkɔs/. If anything, the IPA pronunciation should be what's given to as to not confuse people.
