She was once an independent vtuber, first introducing herself on March 22^nd 2018. During her time as an independent vtuber, she debutted multiple songs, both covers and originals. Her first original, "comet" was first released on November 22^nd 2018 and her second, "天球、彗星は夜を跨いで" on 22^nd 2019. When she first applied for hololive, she was rejected. However, after some time and given a second chance, she appeared as a surprise guest performer on fellow member AZKIAZKi's first live, where she was introduced to be part of Inonaka Music(INNK), a music label under hololive on May 19^th 2019. On November 29^th 2019, she announced on twitter that she was moving to hololive main branch and officially was moved on December 1^st 2019, along with an updated model and outfit. On January 20^th 2020, hololive announced that Suisei would receive an official 3D debut in early March of the same year, even though she would have a 3D model during their first live, "Nonstop Story". On January 24^th 2020, she appeared at hololive's first live, "Nonstop Story" with the rest of the members from hololive main branch and INNK, showing off for the first time her 3D model. On February 25^th 2020, she announced on stream that she will officially be showing her 3D model on March 1^st 2020. On March 1^st 2020, she officially debuted her 3D model on stream. On March 21^st 2020, she celebrated her 2^nd anniversary as well as her 3^rd birthday with a 3D stream, as well as showing for the first time her third original,"NEXT COLOUR PLANET". The song was officially put out on March 22^nd 2020.
