On December 28, 2023, the preliminary groups were redrawn. Both Lamy and Nerissa dropped out of competition which put the number of participants down to 35. A reduction count below 36 allowed the preliminary round to be completed into three groups instead of four. The same grouping restrictions pertaining to Lui, Towa, Okayu, and Fuwamoco still applied. The redraw did not affect the tournament schedule.
However, on January 5, 2024, Chloe was diagnosed with COVID-19, forcing her to drop out of the competition. [[Juufuutei Raden]]
